Franz Donat’s book Large Book of Textile Designs, published in the late 19th century, is the largest of all pattern books. It is an exhaustive collection of textile patterns especially for designing of textile fabrics. The book includes some of 300 plates and various design patterns. There are two separately paginated sections. The first section of 16 pages contains color patterns. The second section contains black-and-white patterns.
